There's some subtle color in the darkness -- not sure it all comes out in this scan. Another piece from the current 20th anniversary show at the Easton Gallery in Santa Barbara.
I dropped this off at the Easton Gallery yesterday for the upcoming 20th anniversary show and not ten minutes after I left I got a call from the gallery owner telling me that a customer who used to climb this very tree had just bought the painting. Fastest sale ever.
from a few years back when several friends went to the Laguna Beach area to paint. This was auctioned off this weekend for yet another charity auction.

watercolor on hot press paper. Another from the same "June Gloom" day as the last posting. Thanks to all who participated.
this was done on location in Los Angeles and will be auctioned off to help out my friend Pres Romanillos who had a relapse of leukemia. It's part of the "Pres-Aid" effort that is starting this week. More details at http://www.pres-aid.com There are some incredible pieces of animation art being donated to help out.

During a break in the rain we've been getting here lately I wandered over to the Pasadena arroyo where the water was flowing. It felt great to get out and paint again.
