Head of a Woman

My wife and I recently had a baby, Andres, so I haven't had much of a chance to sit in front of live models. But here is an image I've been working on. Head of a woman, based on the live figure studies at Dreamworks. Here is what it looks like before it is rendered.

this is and absolutly stunning piece. the subtleties of the details take ones breath away...the red rimmed eyes, the bare tops of the breast... the despair of her is so entrancing. wonderful.
if this is based on the digital study, was this continued digitally, or is it paint?
