Below the Douglas Preserve

Kevin Turcotte
16 x 20
oil on canvas
this is one of a set of paintings that will be auctioned to raise funds for the continuing upkeep of the Douglas Family Preserve in Santa Barbara. The land was donated by the family of actor Michael Douglas to be made into a park -- it's a beautiful place, overlooking the Pacific on a bluff. This particular angle is from the beach below the park.

Very interesting painting! This is something I like very much, when the artist looks at the world like others don´t. Do you know Goyas Dog? It reminds me of that painting.
